Birmingham Carers' Association is supported by Birmingham City Council

The Committee

We represent carers across the city and campaign to ensure that they get the best support possible from Birmingham City Council and the NHS. The Executive Committee are elected at the Annual General Meeting. Additional members can be co-opted on during the year to fill vacancies. Some committee members have specific roles in which they represent BCA. These include regular meetings with the Directors in Adults and Communities.

We also have nominated representatives on the four Carers Forums who report back to us and pass on information from BCA. Chairs of the Forums have closer links so that we can best represent the views of Carers and make sure their voices are heard.

We are setting up groups to work on specific issues and always welcome willing volunteers who have time and commitment to help us. Every carer has experience to contribute and we all want to improve the lives of carers.
