Adaptawear are a company that provides adaptive clothing for the elderly and disabled. Our clothes aim to promote independence in people who dress themselves but also to make it easier for those who require assistance to dress by carers. They have just started a forum that can be used to post questions by anyone who has questions regarding specialist clothing.

Birmingham Community Empowerment Network (b:cen) has been working since 2003 to help communities get involved in decisions and action to improve neighbourhoods in Birmingham (UK). We do this by helping community and voluntary groups and active citizens to link up and get involved in Community Networks. We support these networks and their members with small grants and staff time. We help representatives of Community Networks get a voice in local decisions. Our aim is for Community Networks to be: inclusive, effective, open and honest.

Care for the Carers supports people in East Sussex who look after sick or disabled relatives, friends, neighbours, partners or children in their own homes. The main focus of our work is our Outreach Service. This is a home-visiting service where an Outreach Worker meets with the carer to identify their need for support services, information, social security benefits, etc, and then helps to arrange these.

Maison des Landes is a charitable Trust funded and managed by the Lions Club of Jersey. The Trust runs a hotel in Britain's 'South Sea Island' catering exclusively for disabled guests and their families and helpers, in accommodation which has been specially designed and built to meet the needs of the disabled.
